I woke up today and found my inbox filled of Mother’s Day messages. From flower graphics, Mothers Day headlines, to social media posts, I was reminded that I had a lunch date with my folks today to celebrate Mother’s Day.

As someone who doesn’t celebrate any sort of holidays in general, I was looking forward in trying out the Italian restaurant called Taverna Pizzeria and Risotteria in Laguna Beach that dad picked out for us. Some days I want to sleep in to catch up on zzz’s. Other times, I wake up early in the morning and run off to L.A. such as last weekend. Sundays in Irvine

This weekend, my friend Cari made her way to visit me in O.C.  Since I’m new to Irvine, I thought it was a perfect opportunity for us to find a new place to eat. Hungry and sluggish, I went on Yelp to see if something would peak my interests for a good brunch. The Difference between Los Angeles vs. Orange County, California.

A few days ago, I was having lunch with some of my co-workers and the topic about living in L.A. vs O.C. came up. One way or another, this topic somehow come up in any conversation that I have with someone from California. Whether it’s in a job interview (yes, it’s happened), in casual conversations or coffee breaks; people always seem to identify themselves either as an Angelino (L.A. local) or an O.C. local but, never both.
